Hancock Grammar School Philosophy:

Hancock Grammar School is committed to providing the kindergarten through eighth grade children of Hancock with educational programs that will allow them to develop to their full potential. We believe in a student-centered school that will provide each individual with an environment that will encourage and promote the development of a positive self-image. Every effort will be made to design and implement programs that will meet the academic, physical, and social needs of our students where everyone is challenged and successful.

Toward this end we will continue to offer a strong course of studies in the academic areas enriched with opportunities in athletics, art, and music. Special emphasis will be placed on the development of greater reading, writing, and mathematics skills throughout the k-8 curriculum. By teaching tolerance of others and maintaining high expectations both academically and behaviorally, we will endeavor to help our students become well-rounded, responsible individuals who are ready to meet the challenges of a fast-changing world.
